Rules & Regulations

To foster a sense of discipline among the institute expects the students to observe this code of conduct strictly.

  • Students should be regular and punctual in attending the classes.
  • No student will be allowed to enter the premises without the Identity card.
  • Student must maintain discipline and decorum in and outside the classrooms.
  • Quarrels and disputes should be avoided and self restraint be exercised within the institute area.
  • No damage to the college property will be condoned under any circumstances.
  • No student shall indulge in consumption of alcohol / drugs within the college campus and if found guilty will be expelled straightway without giving any reason thereof.
  • Students are required to be in college uniforms on the days specified by the institute for the same.
  • The use of mobile phones in the academic areas of the college campus is strictly prohibited.
  • Students should maintain cleanliness in the campus.
  • Attendance during functions in the institute is compulsory for the students.
 

Code of Conduct for Students for E-Classes through ZOOM App

The following Code of Conduct is hereby issued for all the students which is required to be followed diligently during conduct of virtual class revision sessions:

  • The students are required to login with their full name (as registered in IKGPTU) during the class. No entry would be allowed using device names/nick names etc.
  • If the students wishes, he/she can use their own picture as profile picture. Using any other picture is not permissible.
  • The students are required to treat this class seriously and maintain the decorum of the classroom environment.
  • In case they wish to raise a query or a doubt, the same may be done using hand raise option of zoom app.
  • Students must make a timely entry and exit in the class.
  • Personal chat during the class is strictly prohibited.
  • Any feedback may be submitted at director@lkcengg.edu.in

Note: Any violation of the above guidelines would be treated as an act of indiscipline and a strict disciplinary action would be initiated against the defaulter students.

Guidelines for Faculty for the Conduct of E-Classes through ZOOM App

In addition to the guidelines issued via notice dated May 1, 2020 the following guidelines are required to be followed by all the faculty members during conduct of zoom classes:

  • The invitation of the scheduled class is required to be sent to Dy.Director(A.A)-KCL Group ,Director-LKCE and Dy.Director(T&P) through WhatsApp message using the correct ID one day prior to the conduct of class and in case the ID is changed due to any reason, it should be resent timely.
  • It is reiterated that all faculty is also required to retain the recording of all zoom lectures which they shall submit with the network admin after rejoining the institute. Further the screenshot must convey the time and date of conduct along with list of participants.
  • All students as participants may be muted by the host while teaching and unmuted in case they have a doubt to ask via raise hand option of zoom app
  • The waiting room option may be enabled by the host to allow the entry of authentic participants only in the meeting/class.
  • The annotations by participants may be disabled by the host in the beginning of the class itself to avoid any disturbance by the students.
  • The private chatbox may be disabled by the host.

Note: Institute reserves its right to add to the existing code of conduct as per its own circulars issued time to time. Students found guilty of infringement of code of conduct shall be liable to punishment in the form of fine, expulsion from the college and withdrawal of admission from the university depending upon the seriousness of the offence.
