Extra/Co-Curricular Achievements


In order to bid adieu to the Final year students, during upheaval of Covid-19, an E- Farewell was organized by Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus. The event was organized on online platform. The event started with the welcome speech by Dr. R.S. Deol (Dy. Director A.A. KCL Group). He stated that our students are our top priority and the focus of all our efforts. He said our endeavor is to make our students a good team member, firm decision maker and an efficient leader. So, our final year students are in position to face the society and come up with sound position in future to come. After that Varinder from CSE department along with his partner recited a shabad to take the blessings from almighty. The event then proceeded with the motivational speech of Mr. Simerjeet Singh (International Motivational Speaker). He shared with students the leadership qualities laying emphasis on that as students have gain knowledge in the last four years, they must have gain decision making qualities also. So, by developing the habit of decision making and developing new skills at every stage of life, one can develop good leadership qualities in any field of life. Also, this is the age when students have many questions in mind and also get depressed sometimes. But it is very important to have balanced life. It is important for all to be successful financially as well as emotionally and intellectually. He also shared the seven mantras for succeeding in life. Then the event continued with two songs & the dance performances. Few students of final year also shared their experience about last four years and about their life in Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus. There was also online Mr. & Ms. Farewell competition for passing out students The results for the same are:

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF DISABILITY AWARENESS

In order to create awareness to help persons with disabilities among faculty and students NSS Committee of Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus celebrated International Day of Disability Awareness on 16 th July 2021. The students and faculty members from different departments donated the contributed money to Rashtriya Andh Vidyalaya Jalandhar. The aim of the event was to help that people who are having disabilities so that they are able to take part fully in society. Dr. S K Sood (Director, LKCTC) motivated the students and faculty members to take active part in such events because such events are very much required for the benefit of society. Dr. R.S Deol (Dy. Director KCL Group) highlighted the importance of such events by saying that it encourages us to help others who are in need. Director Academic Affairs, S. Sukhbir Singh Chatha, appreciated the synergy and enthusiasm of the students, faculty members as well as the effort of NSS department for organizing such events.



Most Talented LKCEian and All-rounder LKCEian Award

LKCE Techno Club of School of Engineering, Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus, in a bid to recognize the exceptional students amongst the alumni and currently enrolled students, announced the awardsof Most Talented LKCEian and All-rounder LKCEian. Students participated enthusiastically, about 160 entries were received. Fair judgment was given by Mr. Harpreet Singh Burmi (HOD, MLS) and Er. RajniBedi (AP, CSE). The jurytook into account the number of competitions/events/activities in which the contenders had participated/won to pick the winners.The highly awaited results were announced recently. Muskan from CSE won the All-rounder LKCEian Award and Karan from ME has been adjudged the Most Talented LKCEian. S. Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director Academic Affairs, KCL Group, Jalandhar) and Dr. R.S. Deol (Dy. Director, (AA) KCL Group) conferred awards on the winners and presented certificates to the nominated students. They motivated the students to show the same zeal and fervor while participating in similar events and activities in the future. They also accentuated the importance of participating in curricular and co-curricular activities and commendedthe organizers for successful conduct of the event.



Seminar on Financial Literacy

Academic Committee of Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus, Jalandhar organized a Seminar on “Financial Literacy” on 03-07-2021 for teaching and non-teaching faculty members. The first session followed by Mr.Shamsher Singh, (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER) highlighted the personality developments traits. He gave the information related to the services offered by depositories. He shared her views related to the consolidated account statement. He narrated their ideas of investing in securities market. After that second session handled by Mr.Kamal Sukhija (Distribution Training Manager). He explained planning for good IFS and talked about how to do investment in throughout life. He discussed the corporate encounters and how to enhance the employability skills to be a better fit. “Sound soul resides in a healthy body”, All the position holders were felicitated during the valedictory sessions and the program was concluded with the vote of thanks which was passed by Ms. Parneet Kaur Dhariwal. Director, AA, KCL Group, Director, LKCTC, all the HODs of various departments and the teaching fraternity of LKCE thanks to speakers for lot of information.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’s DAY CELEBRATIONS

This year on international women’s day Lyallpur Khalsa college of engineering organized an event taking in account the importance of health and wellness among female faculty and most importantly students. Being aware of various fitness trends and tips is really integral to having a fit and healthy life. LKCE endeavors not just to improve student’s academic aptitude but authorities here are equally concerned about improving student’s lifestyle to lead a healthy and successful life. To enhance and enable women in various races of life is one of the paramount interests of our college, hence the college authorities had arranged a very informative event where Dr. Divya Kalra who runs Ayurvedic and Diet Clinic in Jalandhar city, she shared her expertise and her abundant knowledge about fostering and accelerating fitness among female faculty and students so as to be fit enough to be a fighter in life and win all the ba4les of this life. This event was not possible without worthy and exceptional support of the huger authorities, Dr. Sukhbir Singh Chatha, Dr. R.S Deol sir deputy director Kcl group and Dr. Ds Rao sir director Lkce and the commendable efforts of heads of various departments and our most worthy faculty. By bringing together female students and faculties, college aimed to arm them in various ways to become strong and healthy to fight future obstacles.

Cultural Activities

At LKCE, we understand that the aim of education must be to promote the full development of the personality, talents, and mental & physical capabilities of each individual child. Keeping this objective in mind, LKCE has constituted a Cultural Committee that arranges and organizes various cultural activities from time to time in the campus and also motivates students to participate in various Inter and Intra College Competitions. Poetry and Debate Competition

Encouraging creativity, innovation and confidence is the essence of co-curricular & extra-curricular activities. Keeping this in mind the students of LKCE organized the Poetry & Debate competition in which the students of all the disciplines participated and exhibited their talent.

Maths Fest – 2015

The Maths Fest was organized in the Institute in recognition of the fact that creative and innovative work in mathematics may best be reflected in project work wherein ideas may be thoroughly explored and carried through from start to finish. To recognize and emphasize the importance of project-based learning, a competition was held in which students actively participated and presented mathematical charts and models. The winners were honoured with Momentos and Certificates.

Sports Activities

To meet the idea of 'Sound mind lies in a sound body', LKCE regularly conducts indoor and outdoor activities in the college. Our students have performed in different sports activities and brought laurels to the Institiute by winning various positions at college level, district level, state level and national level events. For smooth conduct of sports activities, a Sports Committee is constituted at LKCE.

Annual Sports Meet

Sports groom young men and women to inculcate the spirit of playing, winning and losing. These activities are essential for students to get acquaint themselves in diversified fields so as to learn how to play in a team. To facilitate this Annual sports meet was organized in the institute covering a wide variety of sporting events like badminton, cricket, chess, three-legged race, sack race, tug-of-war and many more.
